Novedadedes Anime is a Facebook page that a friend and I created in 2019 to share news and updates about the anime industry. The page has grown significantly since its creation, and it has become a popular source of information for anime fans around the world. The page features news about upcoming anime releases, reviews of popular anime series, and discussions about various aspects of the anime industry. It has also become a platform for fans to connect and share their love for anime with others who share their interests.

Platforms Used

This project started as a personal project to showcase anime news and updates. The platform used was Facebook and later on Instagram where we created and managed the page.

Initially, the page was to discover how social media could be used to build a community around a shared interest in anime and test Meta's capabilities.

Here you can see inside the Meta Business Suite we use two platforms: Facebook (64.4k followers) and Instagram (11.5k followers).

Insights

As the pages are no longer active since 2024, you can see the insights of the performance of the pages in the Meta Business Suite. They show a decrease in engagement over time.

Automatization

Automation was used to generate and update content for the social media pages, reducing manual effort and increasing consistency. On the example above we can see an automated reply via Facebook messanger.

The Products

While we started selling affilate products, such as t-shirts, posters and figurines, we quickly realized that the most profitable product was the t-shirts. Nevertheless, overtime we decided to focus exclusively on the content creation to increase our engagement and awareness with the audience.

The Ads

We did two types of ads, exclusively for Facebook and Instagram. The ads were created using the Meta Business Suite and were targeted to specific demographics and interests.

We started with a small budget to create a larger audience and increase engagement.

Boosting Posts

We allocated a small budget to boost posts and increase visibility (30€ per month).

Products

Once the audience was established, we were able to increase engagement on the best performing posts and invite them to follow the page, as our main objective was awareness.

Conclusion

This project taught me the importance of strategic planning and consistent execution in social media marketing. It was a valuable learning experience that helped me understand how to effectively manage and grow an online presence.
