SEMA WORLD

Sema Wold is a counter terrorism safety and security company that sells self-defense products, firearms and equipment. They needed to update their webpage as previously it was a PDF. Nevertheless, they wanted to keep the style and 'feel' of the previous page.

Web Design & Development

This project started as they wanted to have full control of their webpage, being able to update and change products, stock and content without relying on external developers or agencies. So we decided to build a custom website using Wordpress. They wanted to be able to showcase their products online but not to show prices or availability of products, as they are not publicly available. To do so you would need to be a registered customer or contact them directly for security reasons.

The design was very simple and 'old fashioned' as requested by the clients. We designed the webpage on Figma and implemented it using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on the WordPress platform. We also used WooCommerce to manage their online store and inventory.

The homepage had to include a menu that would always show the category of the products available (ballistic, blast contaiment, CBRNE, special projects). As well, the banner is a security video that keeps on playing on laptop devices.

If we click a category, the page will show all the products in that category and the first initial will be shown in red as for the company it is an identification system.

Here you can see the contact page, the most important page for customers to get in touch with the company as they will only be able to buy products by contacting the company directly.

Conclusion

Overall, the website for SEMA is a great example of how a company can use technology to enhance its online presence and reach a wider audience. The website is easy to navigate, and provides customers with all the information they need to know about the company's products and services.

One of the most challenging parts was organizing the WooCommerce platform and managing the product database while including all the necessary information for customers to make informed decisions.
